Nicki Minaj Talks About Roman’s Revenge and Says It’s Not Dissing Lil Kim…While Kind of Dissing Kim Further

I was on the fence about whether to post this but as the chatter continues about whether Nicki really disses Kim…I decided I might as well. The whole thing is silly to begin with…Nicki has always paid homage to Kim and the rest that came before her. But nonetheless, after Kim’s comments this summer saying Nicki should still pay homage, Nicki finally responds…on wax. But while the jabs are SO painstakingly obvious (“Nicki she just mad that you took the spot. Word that bitch mad cause I took the spot? Tell that bitch if she ain’t shittin’ then get off the pot,” Minaj raps in the second verse. As well as “fuck I look like getting back to a has-been? Yea I said it…HAS BEEN! Hang it up…FLAT SCREEN”), Nicki still told DJ Khaled in a recent interview:

No, I’m talking about everyone who has been in interviews talking and I think it’s good for people to hear me respond to ….People have said so much about me, So I don’t ever single anyone out because no one is worth being singled out. No one is worth having their name mentioned out of my mouth and they never will get that.
I’ve been quiet for such a long time and I’ve been the nice guy. I’ve been the person that gave everyone their props. I’ve complimented everybody from day one. I think that as a rapper, you can’t be a rapper and not speak on things being said about you. I use my music to say what I have to say.

Political answer! But LOL at the same time she’s STILL shooting jabs…”No one is worth having their name mentioned out of my mouth and they never will get that.” Ouch!! What do you guys think? Click here to listen to the track again.

This is for Funk Master flex: You think nicki minaj payed homage to lil Kim because of the similar pictures and remarking her songs on the come up, thats not paying homage. If you do your research and listen to her on the come up dvd she always went around and said i like all the girls. She never really once said yea I like lil kim. Listen to all here previous songs and you’ll see that she been dissing kim before she got signed and all the other female MC. NIcki minaj is wack you break down here lyrics and you have music with no substance. I’m no hater i respect her hustle and grind, but people now adays dont go for music like back in the days. hip hop has changed not for the better but for the worst. all you have is artist that hides behind pro-tools. I like the old nicki not this nicki the retard acting is for clowns.

ACTUALLY she did pay homage. I did an interview with her last year for AllHipHop.com and she lists Kim as one of her Top 5 rappers of all time and says she paved the way. You can read that here… http://allhiphop.com/stories/reviewsmusic/archive/2009/04/15/21364531.aspx

Ok guys! 1st of all I don’t care what interviews ppl are sayin she did or when bcuz I’ve heard Nicki diss songs harshly goin @ Kim & Foxy & slick bars 4 all da rest of da female MCs! I am a female MC myself & I agree that if u break down her lyrics she’s sayin a bunch of nothin! Now however they have recruited a couple of writers 4 her new album (Ru spitz is one of them) u can watch his videos on youtube & see her playin da bird chic b4 they Frankensteined her. I’m glad that there is a female rap chic in da game but she is far from the best & a nose job lipsuction titties & ass shots is all dudes need 2 cosign anything! But let’s talk reality ppl..she’s way way overrated! I got bars dat a burn her face off literally! So stop wit da nonsense already..I’m glad 4her success but yall killin me wit all da extra! Real talk

  10. Stackz on November 9, 2010 at 10:19 am

Nicki has said in many interviews she looks up too kim…nicki has payed homage too her foxy and all the others… kim just mad because nicki actually cam up… and she never said anything atfirst because she didnt think nicki would get this far,..smh, kim is so pathetic… Nicki has every right… this folishness is exactly why female rappers dont get the proper recognition in the male dominated industry.. its sad, kim just do your thing and make music, because this is not helping you get fans… you need too be more corprate, and shut up about this mes.. Nici is a beast and a great rapper 7 entertainer at the end of the day… shes hotter than kim, and kim just need too shut up.

  11. Dre on November 14, 2010 at 6:46 pm

nicki has paid homage to kim on several occasions and for everyone saying, she was taking subliminal shots at kim and the other females if thats the case why oz kim the only offended riddle me this

  12. young shy on February 7, 2011 at 5:49 pm

nicki minaj is a talented rapper, whether you like her or not is your opinion but dont take away someones credibility because of it. i.e. i cant stand listening to justin beiber, but if i said he cant sing, i’d be lying through my teeth. back on topic, there arent that many femal rappers out now, maybe like 4, and i, personally hate when a girl says for me to eat her meat, in a rough voice, every kim song i heard was like that (so i didnt listen to her much), nicki appeals to my preference of female rap, and she does it well.if you dont like her now, then no shiz-nit u wont like her 10 years from now, but if the same people who like eminem now, go back and listen to slim shadys songs, and enjoy it, then whos to say that nickis fans wont do the same? and jus like em,nicki, jayz, and wayne, amongst others, their flow, style, and topics change overtime.i remember when i first listened to go hard back in middle school, loved it, then i listend to your love more recently and said shes good. point is, shes good, dont take that away from her,lil kim….if you wanna diss nicki then at least take a hint from eminem’s the warning..
