My Android phone sends my GPS position to satellites today, and reports back to me my position on a map. Why can’t it send short text messages via same channel? What makes this device’s service so special that it cannot be done on a phone?
Yea! Android connects with gps satellite for location based services so why can’t it connect with the same satellite for user data sending. Altough the $99.99 a year sounds like there more to this service than meets the eye.
