NFL: SMH, Darren Sharper’s Co-Defendant In Rape Case Says Reggie Bush Was Drugging Women Also!

This is some slimy ish right here! If Reggie Bush was indeed drugging women with the intent on raping them then yes he should face justice, but this sounds like a last ditch effort to throw other people under the bus in an attempt to deflect attention. Darren Sharper, who was teammates with Bush in New Orleans and co-defendant Brandon Licciardi are both facing charges related to rape after allegedly drugging multiple woman in multiple locations. It was reported Licciardi previously tried to snitch on others but now we have names.

In December, Darren Sharper’s codefendant suggested that he witnessed other players spiking drinks at a Las Vegas convention. At the time, Brandon Licciardi didn’t name names.

Now, John Simerman and Ramon Antonio Vargas of the New Orleans Advocate report that Licciardi identified former Saints (and current Lions) running back Reggie Bush as a player Licciardi saw spiking drinks.

Specifically, Simerman and Vargas report that Licciardi said he saw Bush “drop ecstasy into Champagne glasses and hand out the illicit party drug to women on a nearby dance floor at a Las Vegas club.”

Licciardi later retreated on the claim that he saw Bush spiking drinks.

“No, I didn’t see him put it in the drink,” Licciardi told investigators regarding Bush. “He told me. And he said he was handing it to people, in Vegas. He asked me if I wanted some.

And I was like, I don’t do that stuff.”

Bush had his attorney respond to the allegations immediately:

“This is outrageous,” attorney Shawn Holley told Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. “I can say to you on the record that Reggie adamantly, vehemently and unequivocally denies all of the statements in that article. We are demanding a retraction from the Advocate and Reggie is considering taking legal action.”

A retraction from the newspaper would be required only if Brandon Licciardi didn’t tell investigators that he saw Bush spike drinks and distribute the drug. (Licciardi reportedly later said he didn’t actually see Bush spike drinks, but that Bush admitted doing it.)

“There is no investigation, there’s never been any complaint made by any person of this happening,” Holley told Birkett. “It appears to be something that’s being stated by someone who is a criminal defendant in a serious case and looking for anything he can say to deflect from his own troubles. But there is not a shred of truth to any of this.”
