NBA: Unofficial 2011 & 2012 Free Agents List
If you’re an NFL fan you remember the crazy scramble to sign free agents after their lockout came to an end. Â Well prepare for that again! Â Normally, NBA free agent negotiations begin in early July, with actual free agent signings beginning a week or two later, but due to the NBA lockout, which began July 1, negotiations and signings were delayed. Â With a tentative agreement in place, once the votes are taken and papers are signed teams will have a substantially short amount of time to sign free agents. Â Check the list after the jump.
NBA free agents are players whose contracts have run out. Unrestricted NBA free agents can sign with any team in the league who offers them a valid contract. Restricted NBA free agents can do so as well, but if they do so with a new team, the previous team has the right to match the contract and keep the player.
