Teenage Girl Raped By 6 Men After Being Denied Entry To Concert

A teenager who had forgotten her ID was raped and beaten into a coma after she was denied entry to a New Year’s Eve concert. The 18-year-old woman was found bloodied and naked on a residential sidewalk after being attacked by as many as six men, just a short walk from the Congress Theater in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood. A theater employee told the Chicago Sun-Times he watched the woman, who wasn’t allowed to enter the concert because she didn’t have any identification, walk across the street and sit down in front of a taco restaurant. Shortly after, she walked away with six young men, he said. Twenty minutes later, some of them returned to alert him there was a naked girl on the sidewalk.

The employee noticed blood on their pants, the Chicago Sun-Times reported, and called out for security as he went to investigate. Guards grabbed three of the men, who are being questioned by police.

The attack happened around 9:30, hours before electronic music artist Rusko was scheduled to take the stage at midnight. About 4,000 people attended the concert, according to the Sun-Times.

According to Assistant Public Cook County Defender Peter Bormes, who saw the suspects return to the theater (the woman’s handbag had landed in his driveway), the venue’s security is generally good, and there is little violence in the surrounding area.

Nearby residents tell a different story.

“A show like this usually attracts young suburban white kids that come into the city’s Logan Square neighborhood,” said one man, who asked not to be identified, to Chicago’s WGN-TV. “It’s still kind of a rough neighborhood in some places.”

Danny Medina, who has lived near the theater for almost 20 years, rushed outside after the attack, the station reported.

“There were a lot of people standing in front of a young lady,” he said. “She looked like she was wounded. She looked pretty bad.”

Medina says the theater should take more precautions to dissipate the violence.

“They want to make their money, let them make their money, but let’s keep the neighbors safe and people safe and keep this from ever happening again.”

this is a horrible thing, ppl whom attend edm events normally arent like this, the bad guys should be punished accordingly…i wish her well..my heart goes out to her

  2. mike on January 3, 2012 at 6:30 pm

Hopefully they execute these 6 young men by firing squad for what they did to her.

  3. cky on January 3, 2012 at 6:33 pm

    Probably niggers

  4. Jason on January 3, 2012 at 6:34 pm

“Shocked and Saddened by this….. if you saw ANYTHING AT ALL do the right thing & contact Chicago PD” -Rusko on Facebook.

and mike ahuja, im pretty sure the 6 men weren’t attending the event, but most likely some hoodlums from that neighborhood.

    • Ju12 on January 5, 2012 at 11:42 pm

Ot wasent anybody from that neighborhood I been there 20 yrs and im a tell u this much. Who ever causes problems are the people who come to congress or tini martini or v live

      • Ju12 on January 5, 2012 at 11:49 pm

I was one of the people who found this young lady. I didint see or hear anything because I had barely got home. I saw the aftermath and my heart goes out to her. The neighbors didint see anything because most were in there homes and odds are she got attacked in an alley near by. Who knows what happened. People keep saying why did nobody see anything? Whoever saw her with those men already did there job and told police. Thank god for congress security that was able to recognize those 3 guys. Even though they were let go im hoping we have the right guys. Still like more security around the neighborhood while concerts go on.

  5. ricemaster on January 3, 2012 at 6:53 pm

They prob were attending, 3 yrs ago this never would happen at a russko show, now every1 goes including scumbags.I’m sure they were high on ketamine or molly and wasted. Then commited his crime super high, probably Europeans

  6. Ken masterflex on January 3, 2012 at 7:24 pm

I just want to say fuck the congress theatre security. They are complete assholes who coke up before they work. It’s their fault that this happened.

  7. onlyatdubstep on January 3, 2012 at 7:47 pm

This garbage happens at Dubstep “shows” (not parties), which are in no way indicative of the happenings of the Rave subculture or the EDM scene (parties). We who have been around, disown it FULLY.

    Dubstep = Trash and Thuggery.

  8. Lauren on January 3, 2012 at 10:02 pm

Wow. I can’t believe all the ignorance the people post…it doesn’t matter what kind of show it is, what color or nationality the thugs were…all that matters is that a girl was raped and beaten into a coma. I didn’t see ONE comment saying, “I hope or I pray that this girl is okay.” No, all I see is “musta been niggers” ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?????

  9. Lauren on January 3, 2012 at 10:04 pm

furthermore….the people who own the arena shouldn’t be to blame either. She left on her own accord with 6 strangers. My mom always taught me to never talk to strangers, so hopefully, this poor girl lives to learn from her mistake.

  10. spindizy on January 3, 2012 at 11:03 pm

@onlyatdubstep You havent been around the edm scene very long have you. Dubstep’s been around since mid 2000, just didnt get really popular till last year. And lots of people who listen to dubstep also listen to other subgenre’s of EDM so labeling dubstep as trash and thuggery, you’re affixing that label to yourself as being a fan of EDM.

You get douchebags at ALL kinds of shows, People get shot at hip-hop shows. People get stabbed and beaten at Rock shows. This is going to happen unfortunately as the genere gets more popular. *** Why do you think women are told to scream “FIRE” instead of “HELP” ?? No one comes running if you scream “HELP” ***

This isnt dubstep’s problem. This is society’s problem. THIS WOMAN WAS ATTACKED ON A SIDEWALK IN A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD. Where the hell was everyone that lived there?? The people in that neighboorhood are the ones to blame, not theater security.

@ricemaster you clearly have never done ketamine or molly before. Ketamine is a disassociative. You can hardly walk, in fact, you cant — if you do enough. So I dont think someone on K is gonna beat anyone up. And Molly? If its real molly, it makes you love everyone, not want to hurt them. No, they may have been on some strange research chem that no one knows how it affects people, so they try to pass it off as something else to make a quick buck.

  11. carolyn on January 3, 2012 at 11:13 pm

the neighboorhood had nothing to do with this crime-attack venues like this attract majority of white suburbian kids. my prayers are with the girl this happen to. Rusko thanks for rockin another great show

  12. Me on January 3, 2012 at 11:31 pm

This is not a neighborhood nothing surrounds thos area but abandoned stores and an L stop

  13. vibes on January 4, 2012 at 11:47 am

    @spindizzy.

molly is a research chemical and I am pretty sure anyone selling it has no fucking clue what it truly is. There is nothing “pure” about molly, and for the record, I have seen people get very violent/horny/creepy while on molly.

  14. Jordan on January 4, 2012 at 1:26 pm

This is really sad. I hope the best for the girl, and I hope the justice system serves these criminals with a strong sentence.

I am disgusted things like this happen in our world. A young 18 year old girl on a night out with friends has her world turned around by some sick and twisted men that found it amusing to do what they did.

Congress Theater is not to blame, however, their security is on a huge power-trip all the time. They don’t allow rave lights or anything along those lines out of pure arrogance. One of the security guards kicked my tiny blonde friend out and dragged her to the back alleyway where he attempted to rape her. She ran away, but these are the kind of people watching out for these concert-goers.

  15. Kekamo on January 4, 2012 at 5:14 pm

CKY, you are just wrong! Rapists come in all RACES! ASSHOLE!!

  16. rh on January 5, 2012 at 2:34 pm

after getting turned away at a concert, her first idea is to walk off with 6 random guys into a dark neighborhood in chicago. she’s kind of at fault here

  17. Josh on January 6, 2012 at 4:32 am

Probably weren’t attending, probably some gang bangers. They deserve life in prison such a sad thing. How can someone possibly live with themselves after doing this.
