Funk Flex Speaks On NYC Grand Jury Decision, What troubling times, 1st Ferguson, now NYC. The difference in the 2 cases, the NYC Eric Garner death was actually caught on tape, we saw exactly how this ‘officer’ killed Eric Garner. The city’s citizens are outraged, including our own Funk Flex!!

The officers and EMS workers (120th precinct) that were on the scene the day #EricGardner died are a disgrace to this city!!!! This guy was breaking the law for the 500000th time. Was asked by the cops repeatedly to turn around do they could cuff him. He did not comply. Then the cop went to grab his hands and he moved then and stepped back. This is him RESISTING arrest. Then the cops did what they are trained to do when someone is breaking the law and resisting arrest, took him down. He happens to be an fat, diabetic, asthmatic and went into cardiac arrest and later died. He didn’t deserve to die but he put himself in a bad situation and the cops were doing the job they were trained to do. Chalk it up as am unfortunate situation. The cop does not deserve to be indicted.

I don’t know Mr. Garners previous arrest record so I’ll conceid to your first point. What I will say is that whether it’s five arrests or 5000 as you claim, this still doesn’t justify choking someone to death! Especially when such a hold has been defined as an illegal tactic by the law they where allegedly trying to up hold.! If he was such a public enemy, then do a better job of building a case. Secondly, at what point is someone subdued! This person was taken down for resisting arrest, point agreed. However there was more than two officers at the scene. In fact there was enough officers there to each grab a limb. So was the choke really needed…. Or how about after the fact that the victim is already on the ground with a cops knee at his neck… Is he subdoed then?….. Or maybe when he is pleading that he can’t breathe….
Here’s the truth, at the point when Mr a Garner was down on the ground and the officers had a firm grasp of his limbs, the resisting is over!!! You don’t continue to choke him until he stops moving. Oh and if your thinking of replying by saying that he was just supposed to listen and be still, please let me interrupt you kindly. There is no creature on Gods mighty earth that wouldn’t resist of fight when there lives are being taken from them.

Excessive force
Use of illegal tactics
Most importantly, lack of humanity and compassion towards another human.
