A Career Criminal who attempted to gun down a enemy earlier this month was being searched and hunted down by police on Wednesday after the shackled ex-con escaped police custody, authorities said. 23 year old Tareek Arnold ran away with his arms cuffed behind his back after using his shoulder to shove a police officer as they were escorting him into a patrol car outside the 32nd precinct station house on west 135th Street Harlem on Tuesday evening.

Police watched as Tareek Arnlold “just started running,” according to a police source and eventually scrambled into a building two blocks away on St. Nicholas Avenue where he disappeared sight.

Just before his escape, Tareek Arnold was charged for shooting down a rival on 7th avenue near the corner of west 140th Street on Jun 8th. The Victim , known as Jamal McCaskill, 38, was shot four times, but survived the attack. Anornold rap sheet includes six arrests in addition to Tuesday’s bust according to law enforcement sources. Jamaal McCaskill was caught on weapons possession charges back in 2008 and was sentenced to five years in state prison in 2010, according to law enforcement sources.

He was then release at the end of 2013, but went back to prison in Febuary 2013 for violating parole, records show. Arnold was last seen wearing grey sneakers, a white T-Shirt, Gray sweatpants and a gray hooded sweatshirt. Arnold also has a tattoo that says “Troll” and another Tattoo that says “Militant Soldiers.”
