Straight Outta Compton Wins “Best Film” At NAACP Image Awards

Although being snubbed now infamously by the Academy Awards, ‘Straight Outta Compton’ pulls through and grabs the award for “Best Film” at the 47th annual NAACP Image Awards. Hit the jump for the story and also the full list of winners from the awards!

The NAACP Awards was held in Los Angeles last night on February 5 and was hosted by comedian/actor Anthony Anderson. Empire went on to beat 50 Cent’s Power for “Best Drama” and Michael B. Jordan also won both “Best Actor” and “Entertainer of the Year”. The full list of awards, winners and nominees is below!:
