Greys Anatomy Fans Are Starting Petitions To Get Jesse Williams Fired From ABC
The Jesse Williams backlash continues over his powerful speech that he delivered at the 2016 BET Awards last week. Some white people and white Greys Anatomy fans are not feeling what Jesse had to say about oppression towards the black community.

Critics have gone to Twitter and Facebook to express their thoughts. Grey’s Anatomy’s Facebook page has been flooded with people who are happy about what he said and then there are those who are not so happy with what Jesse had to say. Some people are threatening to boycott the long-time running show if Williams isn’t fired.
A person by the name of Erin Smith has started a petition to get the Gery’s Anatomy star fired. Smith said that Williams is a “racist” and went on to say that
“If this was a white person making the same speech about an African American, they would have been fired and globally chastised.”
Clearly people are taking the speech the wrong way and just picking and choosing what they want to hear. The reason why Williams made that speech is because it was in fact necessary for America to hear. Injustice in America has gone to far and Williams used his platform and expressed what he and the rest of black America is thinking. Unfortunately some people are blind to what is really happening in America.

That would never be the case because black people were never the oppressor ,we are and always have been the oppressed. We were always degraded, taken advantage of and stripped of our culture to this day.The oppressor never wants us to go and get for ourselves but when we do and build ourselves up ,our community up our children up, then they want to come in and take over after the hard work is done and push us out. (Gentrification) When we talk about us coming together they call it racist, we say we’re trying to get back to where we were,a self sufficient black owned infrastructure that we call our own but all they see is exclusion.
Petition deez nuts
Bruh… Try looking in the mirror for once. Theres more black on black crime then white on black. Sure once in a while white on black happens, but thats just the way of the world. Its not “racist” or “discriminatory”, people are just shitty, regardless of race. And if you really want true, 100% assimilation, stop with the separate networks, separate award shows etc. It is almost hypocritical to cry out that you aren’t truly accepted while at the same time dividing yourself from the rest of the population.
There is just as much white on white crime as there is black on black crime… people tend to kill people from the same communities and/ or race… Asian on Asian etc… but, there is more white on black crime than black on white crime or any race that decides to kill another… no need to get offended by African Americans standing up for themselves, it makes you look a little____
Just your comment shows your ignorance. The reason for separate anything for blacks is because we continually get left out of everything. “OscarsSoWhite”…remember this? Don’t be ignorant sir or worse still quit being aloof concerning the plight of black people all over the world.
Justin thats what you need to do, look in the mirror. Why do you think there’s black on black crime? If you notice, black on black crime usually happens in the same type of neighborhoods. The “Hoods” that opportunity is slim in. Hoods that were created because of OPPRESSION. Shitty schools, lack of jobs, poverty. A nice recipe for CRIME. Here’s a lil secret, Whites traditionally don’t want to live with Black people. It’s been that way from 2016 on back. Separate award shows and channels were created because Black people were excluded from mainstream show and channels, duh. Cops have been killing Black people they whole existence in America. Just so now we high tech world were every one can see! Jesse Williams knows all these thing in detail. We didnt divide ourselves from mainstream America we were EXCLUDED! Obama was the FIRST Black President. The first American president owned slaves.
To compare what Jessie Williams said at an awards show to what Isaiah Washington said about a cast member on more than one occasion is ludicrous. A fellow cast member, if I recall correctly, was up in arms about it. As of now, I’ve not heard any responses from Williams’ cast members. It’s a completely different situation. It really is funny. People can’t watch someone act on television because he wasn’t acting off of it. Get some sense of reality please. Besides, Williams didn’t say anything he hasn’t said on Twitter. I would’ve been surprised if he didn’t say something along the lines of what he said at the awards show.
Petition to get Jesse fired, seriously!! Where are the same idiots when the likes of Donald F***g Trump use misogynistic, racist and much worse speeches. Oh, let me guess, he is white and rich so chalked down to what….. stupid people the lot of them!!
Look this man is an actor, but after all is said and done still black. Jesse like most people have the right to his own opinion and views about black crime in the US. The Grey’s Anatomy show is his JOB, so why hate on him. You can openly voice your opinion, but to petition for someone’s JOB is bullshit. Jesse has be speaking out behind the camera for a while now, so do some homework before knocking him down.
I loved the speech Jesse gave. He’s an activist he is striving for equality in justice and all other departments b2n black and white. If Eric Smith says he’s racist that’s his problem it should not be Jesse problem . We as black people not only in the state but around the globe are mostly victims to this inequality gave this crooked democracy and this make believe freedom just to try and shut us up. If this doesn’t bother Eric the least he could do is shut up coz we were robbed off our roots and everything we own even after forgiveness we still getting treated like shit. So I am so with Jesse William because I am African and we all matter. So if Jesse loses his job because of speaking the truth i know black people who support our truth won’t sit around and watch this injustice. In South Africa we fight for what’s ours and we will support our fellow Africans i for one stand for my fellow African. Because just because we magic doesn’t mean we not real Jesse said it and we heard it.
