Fabolous Appreciates MSNBC’s “To Catch a Predator” #TCAP

If you’re on Twitter on Sunday nights (and chances are you are), you’re bound to see many people tweeting with the hashtag #TCAP and laughing at the disgusting ignorance of the grown men that host Chris Hansen catches in the act of attempting to prey on children. While the show has a serious message, the compromising situations these guys find themselves in is nothing short of comedy. (Did anyone see the guy that wanted a cat present at the “meet and greet”?? A cat?!) Loso has been an ambassador of sorts, always tweeting about the show (and inspiring others to watch…he’s definitely who got me into it). XXL Magazine caught up with the BK emcee and proud parent to find out what it is that he likes so much about the show. Read on after the jump.

“I’m a fan of the show because the shit is hilariously funny to me. It’s a sad thing and it’s really sick that some guys are really interested in under-aged girls. But the whole set-up of that situation is what makes it funny. And then [the show’s host] Chris Hansen comes out and Chris Hansen is like the ultimate asshole. He says the funniest shit without it being funny. He asks the most on-point questions to get the funniest answers. He’s like trained to do this. He knows what he’s doing.

He pops out; he asks them what they are doing there. Of course they all have the same answers: They’re just coming there to talk or chill and they have condoms in their pockets, Mike’s Lemonade on the counter. And it’s just hilarious when he goes in on them and pulls out a transcript of their [previous] chats [online]. Some of the guys really think they are gonna talk their way out of it. When [Chris Hansen] first pops out you see the fear of God on their face real quick. Their faces just turn pale and they’re like, ‘Oh my God who is this guy?’ Some of them are skeptical going in and they still go in and get caught. Some guys get caught more than once. It’s just hilarious. Some guys look like creeps when they walk in the door.

There are a lot of things that make that show funny. Chris Hansen he has a [straight face] through every episode that I’ve ever seen. I don’t care how funny it gets, he doesn’t even smirk; he keeps it 100, every fuckin’ show.

[When I’m watching ‘To Catch A Predator’] I tweet about it and now everybody on Twitter watches the show. It doesn’t seem as bad to me anymore. When I first [started tweeting about it], I thought maybe I’m doing a bad thing making everybody laugh. But everybody is on to the shit and laughing at it too. The show isn’t made to make people laugh, I’m sure it’s to raise awareness and scare people off from doing the shit.

I really wonder if they’ve seen a raise in ratings. You guys should check that out; over the last three weeks of ‘To Catch A Predator’ if any there was any rating change. I provide like commentary to the show on Twitter and people entertain me too. Like some of the shit I can’t say. That’s the worst part about me being me on Twitter, some shit is just too inappropriate to say.”
