Happy Birthday Tupac Shakur
Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 – September 13, 1996), known by his stage names 2Pac (or simply Pac) and Makaveli, was an American rapper. Shakur had sold over 75 million albums worldwide as of 2007, making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world. In the United States alone he has sold 37.5 million records. Rolling Stone Magazinenamed him the 86th Greatest Artist of All Time.

In addition to his career as a rap artist, he was also an actor. The themes of most of Tupac’s songs are the violence and hardship in inner cities, racism, other social problems, and conflicts with other rappers during the East Coast – West Coast hip hop rivalry. Shakur began his career as a roadie and backup dancer for the alternative hip hop group Digital Underground.
On September 7, 1996, Shakur was shot four times in the Las Vegas metropolitan area of Nevada. He was taken to the University Medical Center, where he died 6 days later of respiratory failure and cardiac arrest.
Tupac Shakur was a prolific hip-hop superstar who is still loved till this day!!

Very fake. Didn’t get arrested tell after famous and signed with Suge. Didn’t claim blood tell after with Suge. Music was contradictory, claimed the thug life but grew up from the black panther movement and promoted progress for young black men. Made songs like “dear mama”& “Brenda had a baby” yet gets charged with sexual assault on a women. Perfect case of a image made for his career. Lyrics and songs are average. Was a bit ahead of his time that’s the only credit I give. But will show respect. R.I.P.

@ ivan…I’m 29 a year older than u..I’m a white kid from nyc and when pac dropped I get around it was when I really took notice of hip hop …his image is overshadowed by the fact that he was so many things to so many people…he was a great lyricist..maybe not a storyteller like biggie or big L…but he was a poet…thug life wasn’t about his struggle it was about the struggle of all young misunderstood people who needed an outlet…he was born practically in jail and ended up influencing millions of young people that they can make something of themselves if they believe in their gifts…his messages go deeper than than the words that depict them…u need to see what he was about and his struggle…he shaped the way hip hop is 2day…without him half of ur fav rappers wouldn’t have the balls to touch a mic…show respect where its due…if not then u should keep ur mouth shut…furthermore let go of that hate…it will only bring u down…
